The buttoned up, smartly collared silhouette turned up again and again on the Autumn runways. I love this kind of look, it can be styled endlessly ... so here are some of my favourite versions.

Army uniforms are referenced constantly but these still manage to feel fresh. I especially love how Jonny Johansson combined his fun swirly print and lighter shades with combat trousers to transform this look into something playful

The zip-up collar look also turned up in some very ladylike combinations, like the ones above

Some designers offered a totally different angle, with bright prints and looser tailoring. It looks so good juxtaposed with the strict shape of the collar, and with the mid-length skirts as well.
